About

Bodylink Speech Therapy was founded by Monica Lowy, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSHH, CHLC, APP in 2005. Ms. Lowy earned a BFA in Theater at Syracuse University and a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at New York University. She is also an Orofacial Myologist, Certified Holistic Life Coach, CranioSacral Practitioner, Associate Polarity Practitioner, and Certified Reiki Practitioner.
Ms. Lowy has been a New York State licensed clinician for 26 years, obtained her NJ license in 2019 and interim telehealth license for VT in 2022. She has served clients in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, early intervention, homecare and private practice. Ms. Lowy holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a six-time recipient of ASHA's Award for Continuing Education.
Ms. Lowy is trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, PROMPT, Lessac-Madsen Resonant Voice Therapy (LMRVT), Casper-Stone Confidential Flow Therapy and the Compton P-ESL Accent Modification Program. She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, the International Association of Orofacial Myology and the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
Ms. Lowy began Bodylink Speech Therapy with the belief that speech-language treatment and orofacial myofunctional therapy should not be viewed separately from whole-body functioning, and that adjunct, gentle techniques including CranioSacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy and Reiki may serve to enhance treatment.
