Children may need speech-language therapy due to cognitive or developmental delays, a medical issue or genetic disorder that impacts speech and language, or conditions like autism and attention deficit disorder.
At Bodylink Speech Therapy, pediatric services are for children ages 5 and up. They include evaluation and treatment of:
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech
- Articulation Disorders
- Phonological Disorders
- Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders
- Oral Motor Disorders
- Auditory Processing Disorder
- Receptive Language Disorder
- Expressive Language Disorder
- Voice Disorders
Pediatric assessments may include both standardized and non-standardized testing, language sampling, an oral motor or orofacial myofunctional exam, parental interview and informal observation of speech, language, play and feeding skills.
Length of testing ranges from 1-2 hours, with follow-up testing provided as needed.
Your child’s treatment plan is based on the results of his or her evaluation. Intervention might only be necessary in one area, but often there are multiple issues that need to be addressed. Whether your child needs help in one area or several, we provide individualized, comprehensive and structured treatment that is effective and fun!
Speech-Language sessions are 30 minutes and 50 minutes.
Sessions that include adjunct, integrative bodywork are 60 and 90 minutes.
